Worship of breakfast involves the entirety of one’s life and body. In a corporate sense the Church of Second Breakfast expresses this through:
Breaking of Pastry
Pastries are shared in solemnity along with cups of tea and coffee in reverance of what the wheat field has done for us.
For those who are gluten intolerant we provide rock-hard excuses for bread to avoid any potential regression to the consumption of gluten. Prayer is also available.
Music Ministry
With the book of Common Prayer at the core of our corporate worship, this is expressed primarily through hymns. Occassionally a more modern style will be included, for example Leonard Cohen’s Halleloumi.
Prayer
At the core of a church is a healthy prayer life. This primarily occurs while baking in preparation for the weekly service. This is a well attended meeting, with significant emphasis given to exploring our relationship with food through tastings.
Other Worship
On a monthly basis we include a different type of worship, such as
- Art-based worship – for example smelting of metal into rings
- Flags – permitted, though red flags are strictly banned because they attract Orcs
- Dance – ideally not rythmic as this seems to disturb trolls
